“If you dream of slow mornings, empty beaches, and golden light with just the sound of the wind and birds, keep reading — this post is for you. Because while most people think the best time to visit Lanzarote is winter (and yes, the weather is perfect then), there’s a quieter, more magical window that most travellers overlook…“
🌼 April to June: Lanzarote’s Quiet Season Sweet Spot
Here’s a secret from someone who lives here: April to late June is one of the absolute best times to visit Lanzarote — especially if you value space, stillness, and a more authentic island experience. Why?
🌞 Warm, sunny weather (without the intense summer heat)
🌬️ Less wind than in peak summer months
🧘♀️ A calm, uncrowded vibe — beaches, trails, and restaurants feel peaceful
💰 Better prices and availability — even for the most unique places to stay
This is the season for travellers who aren’t chasing a party or a checklist. It’s for those who want a deeper kind of holiday — one that feels nourishing, not exhausting.
❄️ What About Winter?
Don’t get us wrong — winter in Lanzarote is lovely. From November to March, we get sun while most of Europe is grey. It’s also the island’s busiest season, attracting everyone from retirees to remote workers to surfers. But with that popularity comes crowds, higher prices, and more hustle. If you’re someone who prefers peace over popularity, April to June might just be your perfect match.
☀️ Summer: Hot, Beautiful, and… Windy
July and August are the traditional holiday months, and they can still be wonderful here — but be prepared for heat and wind, especially in open or rural areas If you’re planning to stay indoors during the heat of the day or love windsurfing, it might work for you. Otherwise, the quieter spring season offers a gentler, more balanced rhythm.
🛏️ When We Think It’s Just Right
At our place, we’ve always loved hosting guests who want something slower, softer, and more connected.
Spring is when the island feels spacious again. Nature stretches out, everything breathes — and you can too. If you’ve been dreaming of a peaceful escape in Lanzarote, with thoughtful design, open skies, and no need to rush, come between April and June. We’d love to host you — and this island will feel like it’s just for you.
